Revival, Theme: Revival in 2025
Every revival begins with the sound of good news. It is news that awakens hope,
revives strength, and restores joy. When Jacob received the news that his son Joseph
was alive and ruling in Egypt, his spirit revived, as recorded in Genesis 45:25-28:
And they told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of
Egypt. And Jacobs heart fainted, for he believed them not. And they told him all the
words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which
Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
Similarly, in the New Testament, when Jesus revived the daughter of Jairus, her family
was filled with amazement (Luke 8:55-56):
And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her
meat. And her parents were astonished.
These examples teach us that revival comes when there is a shift from despair to hope,
from loss to restoration, and from death to life.
